It looks like eBay's Daily Deals feature may become the go-to source for Android tablet shopping - just last week they had the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi for $100 off, and today, the Viewsonic gTablet has found its way onto the site for a mere $250 with free shipping.

This isn't the first time that the gTablet has made its way into our deals category, either - we've actually featured it a few different times when it was on Woot. This is, however, the lowest price that we've seen this dual-core tablet go for.

A quick spec reminder is probably in order, so here you go:

  • 10.1 inch 1024x600 display
  • 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB storage with microSD card slot
  • 1.3 MP front camera
  • Android 2.2

Even though it's not rocking Honeycomb, I still say this tablet is absolutely worth $250  - but you better hurry, because this deal can come to a close at any time!

Pretty good deal but the viewing angles are horrendous.

  • Dan

I second Rich, I so wanted to love this tablet, but the screen is so horrible. it defeats the purpose of a tablet if you have to stare directly at the screen in order to see anything

    • wpfn

Not exactly true. Someone that values privacy in crowded places would love this thing -Some may even consider it to be a feature. And to be accurate, the screen itself is gorgeous, the viewing angle however...not so much.

  • Yose Llourinho

That's almose just the right price for a tablet. I'm waiting a year to buy one and... voila! Every tablet would be in the 250€-300€ range.

  • froyo

still don't want it. want a ipad 2 quality android for $400

    • Jon Garrett

then you should get an Asus Eee Pad.

  • Carol

This thing can't even run the real Android Marketplace app.

That means that 250 *THOUSAND* apps are not available to you.

    • JayMonster

The galaxy Tab was the only tablet that got the official Market last year, because Google at the time required data ( not just wi-fi). But thanks to XDA I have had the market on my G-Tablet since last December

  • Mark

Android 2.2. If that doesn't scare you away, I don't know what else.

    • JayMonster

tablet is wise open and there is a gingerbread port ( or two) over at XDA as well as some early alphas of Honeycomb.

At this price or out nooks the nook. A fun, well powered device with Lois of community support behind it. And unlike the Xoom, the SD card slot actually works. No it is not in the class with the Transformer, Xoom or even the Acer Iconia, but if you look at it as a powerful dReaded that you can play games and such on, it is quite good.
