A small update to the Google+ Android app, which is quickly becoming one of the top apps I use every day, was released a few minutes ago. The update mostly resolves login issues for those with multiple Gmail accounts (we've heard many of you complain about not being able to sign in because of that). Other additions include a new "spiffy" profile icon and UI polish.

Grab the update in the Market if you already have access to Plus, and if you don't, feel free to drop your name and email in this post. We'll try to mass invite ...

Hey, Droid 2 owners! Remember in the not so distant past when the Droid X received a workaround that allowed it to get its own build of CyanogenMod 7? Yeah, you knew it was only a matter of time before Team Douche hooked you up, too - and now the wait is over.

CM7 nightlies for the Droid 2 have officially hit the CyanogenMod mirror network. It's worth noting that this is build is for the Droid 2 only, and it will not work on the Droid 2 Global.

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is

Oh, Path... If you would've released your Android app a few short weeks ago, I'm certain that it would've done quite well. Alas, here we are - two days after the initial launch of my new favorite social networking site, Google+, and there's probably not much hope for you now.

For those that are unaware, Path is a social application that allows you to share photos and have conversations with your closest friends and family. It's quite similar to Google+'s Circles feature, as it allows you to choose who you interact with through the app. The main difference is ...

Every once in a while we get a humorous tip that is just too good to pass up. Check out what happens when you translate "Android 2.3.4" from German to English with Google Translate:

2011-06-30 14h56_33

Whoops! It looks like you'll get the same result when you search for any version with 3 digits, from 2.2.1 to 2.3.4. Hit the link below to see it for yourself.

Thanks, Josh!

If you're into gaming on your Android, then there's a solid chance that you've at least heard of Zenonia. But, for those that are not familiar with the series, Zenonia is an incredibly popular RPG made for the small screen, slightly reminiscent of old-school Zelda games.

Today marks the landing of the third episode in this epic trilogy, offering new features along with the same familiar gameplay that fans of the series have gotten used to. One of the more prominent features is a new world to explore, with 227 unique maps and 126 quests to keep you entertained throughout ...

Among high-end Android phones, Samsung's Galaxy S II pretty much takes the cake. The combination of powerful specs, thinness, and Android 2.3 give it a very competitive edge. But not everybody needs all of that, which is why Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z on Three Sweden. Basically, the Galaxy Z is the same as the Galaxy S II but with slightly toned down specs. Even so, it still puts many other Android phones to shame:

  • 1 GHz dual-core processor (possibly Tegra 2)
  • 4.2" WVGA Super LCD display
  • Android 2.3 with TouchWiz 4.0
  • 8 GB internal memory
  • microSD card slot
  • ...

Update: If you're the type that likes your games to be ad-free, then you'll be glad to know that Cut the Rope just landed in the Android Market sans ads. Of course, this mean you'll have to pay for it, but at $0.99, it's probably not going to break the bank. Hit the widget for download.

Today is just getting better and better with all these early presents. Only a few hours ago Atrix owners got their bootloaders unlocked a good couple of weeks early, and now one of the most anticipated games in recent history, Cut ...

EVO 3D owners: want to be able to use the HTC Watch app and have access to The Green Hornet in full 3D, but wary that the system update may not be easily rooted? Well, you aren't alone. XDA user str8upx has extracted the updated HTC Watch .apk from the system update and has made it available to download for anyone who has not yet updated. This will enable users to use HTC Watch to its full ability, including watching the pre-loaded Green Hornet film.

Also included is the HTC Watch .apk itself (not the update), though it shouldn't be ...

While Sony broke the news of its upcoming S1 and S2 tablets back in April, there has been little info surrounding the pair since then - until today, that is. German blog Golem got some hands on action with the duo, and even took the time to grab a really quick video of the S2. Before I go any further, have a look:

As anticlimactic as that is, it does give a better idea of the form factor of this dual-screened oddity. Golem compared the feel to a Nintendo DS, and noted that it includes an obvious Playstation logo, ...

It's not often that we see Motorola's Honeycomb tablets on sale, so when I saw $100 off the dual-core XOOM Wi-Fi as this morning's eBay Daily Deal, I had to let you guys know as soon as possible.

The deal is for the larger 32GB version and brings the price down from $599.99 to $499.99. According to the countdown, it will last for another 4.5 hours or so, which means the tablet will be available ...

A couple of weeks ago, HTC said that, after months of hard work and failed attempts from its engineers, Gingerbread would not be coming to the Desire. Naturally, this brought on an onslaught of negative feedback from Desire owners, and HTC quickly backpedaled, stating that Gingerbread would be coming to the Desire, albeit a bit stripped down. It appears that this update was easier to put together than originally thought, as the build has now reached the testing phase, according to HTC's official Facebook page.

Good news for those of you in the UK (or anyone else that likes to keep up with UK news): The Times for Android has finally hit the Android Market! The app brings The Times and The Sunday Times to the palm of your hand, with "the latest stories on your screen almost as fast as they are written," according to the Market description. It also allows you to customize the layout for quick access to the news that you care about, full picture galleries, and the ability to save stories for later.

Ever since Google+ and a matching Android app were released yesterday, we've been salivating and trying to get through the invite-only wall as hard as we could with no avail. Today, Google brought the wall down and allowed anyone already on Plus invite their friends, which, if you ask me, is how the service should have launched in the first place.

Since you, our readers, are all our friends, we'll be giving out Google+ invites for as long as our hands can type today. Leave a comment with your name and Gmail email (no Google Apps support yet, so ...

If you're familiar with Autodesk's Inventor Publisher software, then you know what a Godsend it can be for creating and viewing rich, three-dimensional instructions. Up until now, it has been lacking on thing, though - what if you're not at at PC when you need to view said instructions? Suddenly, the benefits of Inventor Publisher were not as glorious. That has all changed now, though, as Autodesk has released an Inventor Publisher Viewer app into the Android Market.

Like its name suggests, the viewer allows you to use instructions created in Inventor Publisher on your Android phone or tablet. That's ...

Yelp received an update today, and it adds a brand-new mobile-exclusive feature called Deals, which is essentially a competitor to Groupon's Groupon Now!. The Deals button found on the updated app integrates Yelp Special Offers, Check-In Offers, and its time/location-sensitive Deals all into a single, location-based menu.

Like Groupon Now!, you can only view offers within a certain distance of your current location (which is to say, it can't be manually set). The fact that it puts together all of Yelp's discount systems into a single list is really pretty handy, but unfortunately, there's no option to filter or ...
