Anyone who has ever ventured into the world of alternative launchers has surely heard of LauncherPro, the favorite homescreen replacement of many. The developer of LP has released an update today that brings the version number up to 0.8.6 and a number of other features with it. Take a peep at the changelog:

What's in this version:

  1. NEW Support for icon packs.
  2. NEW Real homescreen looping (enabled by default, you can disable in Preferences > Homescreen Preferences).
  3. NEW Option to hide homescreen icon label backgrounds.
  4. Scrolling performance improvements.
  5. Fixed an issue with 3rd party scrollable widgets on some HTC phones.
  6. Fixed a visual glitch when using Light caches and the "Flip" transition.
  7. Fixed hidden apps reappearing when they're updated.

Of course, the big deal here is icon packs and infinite homescreen looping - something that was also just recently enabled in ADW Launcher EX.

You can get LauncherPro for free in the Android Market, but I highly recommend grabbing the paid version to unlock even more features, like widget resizing.

Thanks, Keith!
