It looks like June 8th is going to be quite a day around T-Mobile, because three new Android devices should be hitting the shelves. Among the three devices is the HTC Sensation - the highly anticipated 4.3 inch beast that rocks Sense 3.0. Not to distract from the others that are dropping at the same time, though, here is a spec-sheet rundown of each.

Samsung GT2

As the lowest-end of the three devices, the GT2 is a sequel to the Samsung Gravity T, but this time it's packing Android under the hood.

  • 3.2 Inch display
  • Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • 800MHz processor (they call it "impressive" - ha!)
  • 3MP rear camera
  • Android 2.2

While this phone clearly isn't breaking any records, it appears that the younger generation may be the target audience for this text-centric device. No consumer price has been announced as of yet, although there does seem to be a $50 mail-in rebate involved here.

Samsung Exhibit 4G

We first got wind of this phone's existence earlier this month, but now - thanks to TmoNews - it's basically official.

  • 3.7 Inch Display
  • 1GHz Hummingbird processor
  • 3MP rear camera
  • VGA front camera
  • Android 2.3 (rumor)
  • HSPA+21

Like the GT2, no consumer price has been released, but according the leaked image (above) it looks like a $50 mail-in rebate will also accompany whatever price point it ends up landing at.

HTC Sensation

Ah, the beast of the group. This is the HTC monster that everyone has been waiting for.

  • 4.3 Inch qHD Super-LCD
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 768MB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera with 1080P HD recording
  • 1.3 front camera
  • Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0
  • HSPA+

With specs like that, it's very likely that this phone will blow past most competition (except maybe the Galaxy S2) without even breaking a sweat. If phones could actually sweat, of course.

WOOT! More devices that won't get any marketing from T-Fail.

    • BobbyPhoenix

That's why their plans are cheap, and phones rock. No marketing keeps costs down. Those who know go T-Mo. Now when the "merger" fails, and AT&Flee pays 6 billion to T-Mo, T-Mo will rule the world!

i am stoked that I took back the LG G2x in anticipation of the HTC Sensation. In your opinion, what is going to be the better device, the Sensation or the Samsung Galaxy?

    • http://www.AndroidPolice.com Artem Russakovskii

Hard to say. One will likely be locked, one isn't. Exynos is really fast and will probably outperform the MSM8260 that's on the Sensation. However, I much prefer Sense 3.0 to TouchWiz 4.0.

One thing is for sure - if you don't need a custom ROM, you will be extremely happy with either.

HTC Sensation FTW! My G2's 3.7" screen feels small compared to my old HD2. Time to return to the "right" sized display :)

I admire HTC and what they have done for android over these last 3years. Htc has clearly helped all android lovers and tmobile is the network that placed android on the map as far as I'm concerned with the g1 and Nexus one. I'm currently rocking a Evo 4g the granddaddy of 4g devices on sprint and already have my preorder in for my Htc Evo 3d which clearly will be the best android device on the market for the summer of 2011. If I was on tmobile I would pick up the Htc Sensation why because of all the technology this device has that is locked inside plus it is the cousin of the Evo 3d. The Sensation has hdmi/mul technology, dnla, htc.com technology, htc likes, htc pub, htc watch, new sense 3.0 that makes touch wiz 4.0 look stupid. plus various other things which clearly will be the best device on tmobile YES better than the Lg Gx2. BOTTOMLINE if your not rocking with htc then your not rocking at all.

I sure hope hTC is paying you well.

I so badly want the Sensation, but it will take all the energy i have to resist not to when it comes out on june 8th. My desire for a pure vanila Android device is so strong that i am willing to w8 a few month to see if HTC will make the new Nexus. I strongly suspect there is a Sensation like Nexus device being tested for the release of Ice scream sandwich Android 2.4. If the next Nexus device is not made by HTC then i will definately grab the Sensation. There was already some talk/rumur of HTC working on a better Sensation like device with more powerful specs...hope that relates to the new Nexus
