The-Google-Samsung-Nexus-S-4G

We've known about the Sprint variation of the Nexus S 4G for over a month now, but now it finally has an official release date. You will be able to get this hunk of Gingerbread-powered love on May 8th for $200 with a new two-year agreement. I'm sure that most of you already know the specs, but what kind of person would I be if I didn't throw in a reminder?

  • WiMax
  • 4-inch Super AMOLED display
  • 1GHz Hummingbird processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB Storage
  • Stock Android 2.3 Gingerbread

It feels good to type "Stock Android" for a change. If that doesn't warm the soul, then I don't know what does.

Never get a Samsung and by NEVER I MEAN NEVER. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PHONE. NO MATTER HOW COOL IT LOOKS. NO MATTER HOW FAST IT IS. NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS. NO MATTER WHAT CARRIER IT IS JUST DON'T DO IT. DON'T.

I think he is saying this because Samsung does not update their software on their phones and tell people to just get the next phone that is coming out. Personally, I have a BIG problem with that but someone who is less techy may not care as much. Dealbreaker is no LED notification and no SD card. For a Google flagship dev phone, I would expect those to be standard.

I would like to hear why it is you feel this way about all Samsung phones.

  • Sandra

    Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

  • Jaymoon

Sorry, but no SD slot? No LED notifications? Samsung?

I will pass. My EVO with CM7 will do me just fine, until the EVO 3D is released...

If it had an sd slot or at least a 32gb model it will be a good buy but its kind of a downgrade going from the evo

I hear that jaymoon. My evo running CM7 is flawless!!

  • Lolo

I concur considering I have 22gb of music.

I would love to replace the ROM that comes stock on the phone. That may fix most of its issues.
