As of today, Verizon Wireless has announced plans to expand its 4G LTE market to 6 more cities, including Clarksville, TN; Hopkinsville, KY; Cleveland, TN; Columbia and Hilton Head, SC; Wilmington, NC; and the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. These new additions will bring the total list of 4G covered areas to 47:

This puts VZW's 4G coverage area at close to one-third the size of of its 3G area, which covers roughly 290 million Americans. It's definitely exciting news for those that will be getting the 4G rollout, I just wish that my city was on that list.

    It kills me that they still don't cover Indianapolis. Wikipedia says it's the 12th most populous city in the US. AT&T has their HSPA+ active here though. Guess which provider I have now? :-P
