Excited for the HTC Sensation? So are we - and while we can't make its release date come any sooner, we can tell you when the phone might well end up being launched.

According to a Google AdWords ad put up by HTC itself, the dual-core beast of a smartphone will be released on June 8th. Of course, HTC removed the ad promptly after it made the news, but screenshots like the one below live on.

The 6/8 theory is corroborated by a product shot of the Sensation which contains a weather widget citing the date as "Wed, Jun 8." Coincidence? We think not.

Needless to say, this could just be a placeholder, but we're going to keep our fingers crossed nonetheless - we want that "instant sensory overload" already!

if it was a European date wouldn't it be 8/6 as we do dates the other way around to you... this stopped working for me yesterday, it did work. and Vodafone said they wouldn't give a date and their picture of it says March 22nd so I doubt it's a British release date tbh

In France SFR will get it 12 May according to their website (http://android.sfr.fr/le-htc-sensation-chez-sfr-a-partir-du-12-mai).

Someone buy it and send it to me

I'll pickup up either this or the evo 3d. Leaning more towards the evo since it has the hdmi hybrid and pretty fast 4g in my area. But if verizon keeps the $30 unlimited 4g data I'll just go with them.

How do you know the ad was from HTC itself?

Anyone can buy AdWords and put whatever URL they like?
