The dreaded day of April 18th, this year's tax filing deadline, is almost here, and for our weekly poll, we wanted to see how many of you ended up filing your taxes using your Android phone. 2010 was the first year you could actually estimate, file, track, and even snap pictures of your tax forms entirely on your Android device, without touching a computer or paying a tax professional.

So, which way did you decide to go this year?

How did you file your 2010 taxes?

Hmm....will anyone make an application to file a nonprofit, federal 990 ez and schedule A?

I used Turbotax online (love it), but I would have used the Android app if I knew about it earlier!

I freefiled on the IRS website but I do use the IRS android app to track my refund.

  • Jason

I used FreeTaxUSA. Got the exact same return as TurboTax was going to give me, but for only $10.

I used TurboTax.com/freedom again this year. If you qualify (<$31,000), which most people do, it's totally free to file federally.

Also if you live in the qualifying states, it's free to e-file your state return too. ...and it's not the lame, fill it out online, print, and mail method... 100% e-file.

Living in Oregon I qualify for both, so I don't have to pump my own gas, or pay to file my taxes!

    :D

Being that my tax returns involve several different forms and take about half a week to complete, there's no way I could do it on my Droid X.

I see Android Police is USA-centric.

No option to say "in my country the employer does our taxes"?

Sorry about that - I've added an "Other" option and cast 1 vote from you there.

Had I known about this option when we filed (We're usually one of the few who gets their paperwork at the beginning of January), I would have been happy to utilize it. Would have saved me a trip! Next year, I know what I'll be doing!
