[Rumor] Expansys Leaks Galaxy S 2, Desire HD2, Desire 2, and Wildfire 2 Spec Sheets

Last night, PocketNow landed their hands on some official spec sheet leaks from UK retailer Expansys, and the specs don't disappoint. Let's take a look:

  • Samsung Galaxy S 2
    • 1.2 Ghz Dual-Core CPU (Qualcomm 8260 SnapDragon), Adreno 205 GPU
    • 4.3" 800x480 SAMOLED Plus
    • 8MP Camera around back (with LED flash and 1080p video recording), 2MP in front
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 16 GB internal storage, microSD card support
  • HTC Desire HD2
    • 1.2 Ghz Dual-Core CPU (Qualcomm 8260 SnapDragon), Adreno 205 GPU
    • 960x540 3.3" (typo? should it be 4.3"?) SLCD
    • 8MP in back with LED flash and 1080p video
    • 512MB RAM
    • 8 GB internal storage, microSD support
    • Sense UI 3.0
  • HTC Desire 2
    • 1 Ghz CPU (Qualcomm 8250 SnapDragon), Adreno 200 GPU
    • 3.7" 800x480 SLCD
    • 5MP rear camera (LED flash and 720p video), 2MP front
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 4 GB internal storage, microSD support
  • HTC Wildfire 2
    • 600 Mhz CPU (Qualcomm MSM7227), Adreno 200 GPU
    • 3.2" 480x420 TFT
    • 5 MP rear camera (LED flash, 480p video)
    • 384 MB RAM
    • Unspecified internal memory, microSD card support

All in all, some respectable specs from the Galaxy S 2 and DHD2, some run-of-the-mill specs for the Desire 2 (nearly identical CPU as the EVO), and some downright embarrassing kit on the Wildfire 2 (it won't even be able to run Flash).

I'd be remiss if I also didn't point out that the specs match up to Engadget's leaked slide we doubted way back in November.

Boy, could this ever be embarassing. Whatever... bitch, I'm a bus [NSFW language].

Keep in mind that this type of leaks generally has good accuracy, but it's still been off plenty of times before. For that reason, I slapped a "[Rumor]" tag on here - we all know how much the Android community loves to run with inconcrete details as fact.

    Why would Samsung be using a competitors CPU?
    i hate these rumors as they always seem to be made by people who don't know that Samsung uses their own Chips
    Galaxy S2 will probably use the Orion

    Yeah, right. The galaxy s2 has a slower GPU than the s1. Im pretty sure it will either have a orion or tegra SoC.

    Man did they get the galaxy s 2 spec's wrong. Qualcomm with adreno?!?! Like Samasung is going to put anything other than their CPU/GPU combo in there. And just because it is dual core doesn't mean better performance from a lesser GPU. So I highly doubt Samsung will take a step backwards in that category. Also that 2m front camera is kinda stretching it as well. And the 14.4 HSPA?? by the time this thing launches T-Mobile will be rolling out their 42meg network and with 21 in place now I don't see anything less then a 24 chip in it.... Anything else I missed.

    Yeah, the Desire 2 has the exact same specs as the the actual Desire, not logical.

    Qualcomm 8260 has Adreno 220, not 205.

    They say the Desire HD 2 will have 512 MB of RAM, which is less than the actual (768 MB).

    Sense 3.0 ?

    Divx, Xvid reading from HTC, since when ?

      Seconded. The 8260 is a 3rd generation snapdragon, has the Adreno 220. My 2nd generation snapdragon phone has an Adreno 205.

    I say this is BS...too many things look just weird. Galaxy S 2 is obvious that it just can't be possible. Desire 2 looks so strange, it's really a Desire 1 with more internal Space *yaay*. Desire HD2 has not enough RAM and other things also look kinda strange. I also expect a more potent CPU in the Wildfire, although this looks most legit. But as many other things don't, I don't believe a thing on those spec sheets.

    Got to say that all top end phones really need at least 728MB of RAM preferably more. I think this is part of the reason why he HDH is so quick.

    They won't call it the Desire HD2...they've made another phone called the HD2 (HTC Leo).

    So the Wildfire 2 is essentially a redesigned Aria? Specs are identical.
