Rovio Mobile's award-winning Angry Birds. 20th Century Fox's upcoming Rio. A perfect match?

Rovio and 20th Century Fox obviously think so - they've teamed up to develop a new version of Angry Birds based entirely on Rio. They say it's coming to "app stores" in March (hopefully that includes the Android Market), and will feature 45 levels to call its own. Check out this cinema-quality teaser video Rovio released:

Looks like the Angry Birds brand isn't going away anytime soon - which could be either good news or bad news, depending on how you look at it.

Does anybody honestly still care about this stupid game? It is a simple flash-like game for smartphones that gets boring after 30 minutes. Why does it get so much press?

  • pistos

Agreed. Qualifies for award for most over-rated game ever.

YOU BOTH CARE... or why not just move right along homos.

The game is good to kill time. Whether your sitting on the toilet trying to push out last nights quadruple burrito meal or at the dentist waiting to get a clean and whiten.

No, I'm just annoyed at how much this game is in the news. There is no reason for it to be in the news so much. It's just a simple game like all the other "time waster" games available.

What did they mean by "In theaters....?" Trailer for the app in movie preview times?

Rio is a animated movie coming out in April. This is a trailer for the game/ cross marketing stunt.
