If you love devouring Android stats, Google's Android Platform Versions sub-site, which is updated about once a month, just got refreshed with the latest batch of data. Last month, Froyo ate up some 36% of the pie, while Éclair was found to be running on about 41% of devices, with the remaining 23% being taken up by Cupcake and Donut.

As you can see for yourself in the graph above, this month was quite a turn-around - Froyo (at 43.4%) finally stole the throne from Éclair, which was left with 39.6%. As for 1.5 (Cupcake) and 1.6 (Donut), they each gobbled up 6.3% and 10.6%, respectively. Not bad, and I expect things will be even brighter when the US versions of the Galaxy S start getting their helpings of frozen yogurt. Still, I can't help but wish that Gingerbread was already on the chart.

This is seriously pissing me off... I want stock android on my Samsung Epic 4G...

The fact that I'm still running 2.1 is laughable...

What is laughable is T Mobile leaving Cliq XT users behind while Cliq and other phones are being upgraded to 2.1 ......

Loving my Nexus One on 2.2.1.

Will be continuing to love my Nexus when I get 2.3.

Although a lot of the 2.3 UI changes do look like they are going back in time, not forward.

Pros: Green accents everywhere, black notification bar.

    Cons: Every other UI change.

Evo on 2.1 is kind of silly because it's still one of Android's top end phones. But be happy you are not rocking a samsung behold like my wife who's officially stuck on 1.5... (manually updated to 1.6 of course).
