Angry Birds is probably the most iconic Android game on the Market now - I mean, how often do you see people dressing up as Android game characters for Halloween, making game themed cakes and plush toys, and creating fan videos that millions can relate to? Probably not very often. Before Angry Birds actually turns into a full-fledged motion picture, let's enjoy ourselves watching hilarious gems like this one, shot for an Israeli comedy show. There is a tidbit of NSFW language in there, which, in my opinion, makes the whole thing that much more funny.

Love it or hate it - what's the verdict?

I obviously loved it - the only thing that could have been done better is the loss at the end - they should have won, considering all the pigs were dead. Excellent, nonetheless.

The reason it is a loss is part of the political comment of this sketch. This is an Israeli take on the recent Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. Since Peace was not achieved it is a loss.

How did that guy get cell service when they were obviously in Airplane Mode? Unless that big white sign behind him represents the annoying ads.

  • Shai

Even funnier because it comes from Israeli TV. Obviously some political commentary there

"I mean, how often do you see people dressing up as Android game characters for Halloween,..."

As much as I despise it, Angry Birds is an iPhone game, that just happened to get ported.

+ 1. Hate to rain on your parade, but it was ported. As for the video, I love it, especially when the yellow bird says they won't relinquish and the red bird is like "WTF?" Cheers!

Right, I didn't mean that it got started on Android, but it's nevertheless the most iconic game on the Android Market, recognizable by device owners en masse. It doesn't mean it's also not an iPhone or a WebOS game, but those are outside of our scope.
