It's definitely starting to feel like holiday season is winding up - a ton of devices that we've seen in the pipeline previously are now making it to market at long last. Let's take a look:

Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Verizon and Sprint versions of the Galaxy Tab have launched already, and the device will be coming to Sprint in short order (11/14) as well. Quick recap of the specs:

  • 7" 1024x600 screen
  • Both 3G and Wi-Fi
  • Android 2.2
  • 1 GHz Hummingbird CPU
  • 13.8 oz.

So far the reviews seem to be fairly mixed on the Tab. Right now, only the Verizon variant is listed at Wirefly, but we expect that to change shortly.

White HTC EVO 4G

Given that the White EVO 4G has been floating around for a few months now, this may not be the newest of news. Still, it's the first we've heard of it outside of Best Buy, so it's worth mentioning. Wirefly is listing the White variant as going on pre-sale November 14.

Samsung Continuum

The dual-screen Continuum - the newest member of the Galaxy S line of devices - is scheduled to go up for pre-sale on November 18. A quick recap of the specs:

  • Dual-screen: 3.4" SAMOLED up top, and 1.7" "ticker" screen below
  • 5 MP camera with flash
  • 720p HD recording
  • 1 GHz Hummingbird
  • 8 GB mSD card in the box

Motorola Droid Pro

Next on the list is another one we've been hearing about for quite some time now: the Motorola Droid Pro. This guy is aimed squarely at the corporate crowd, with global capabilities in the form of both GSM and CDMA radios, a candybar form factor and a full keyboard. Other specs:

  • Android 2.2
  • 1 GHz CPU
  • 480x320 screen
  • 5 MP camera (although there's a version without)
  • Enterprise level security

Oddly, although Verizon's order page is live, the Pro has yet to be listed by Wirefly, whose pre-order date is listed as 11/18.

Motorola Droid 2 Global

The Droid Pro isn't the only piece of world-friendly kit coming from Motorola this month - it's joined by the Droid 2 Global. It seems the launch date was pushed back a bit to 11/29, although pre-orders are still open at Verizon. Specs:

  • 1.2 GHz CPU
  • 3.7" 854×480 screen
  • 5 MP camera with 2 LED flash
  • 8 GB ROM, 8 GB microSD included (16 GB total)
  • Dark Sapphire or Winter White

LG Vortex/Optimus S

Last on the list are the LG Vortex and LG Optimus S. These devices appear to be nearly identical - both falling under the "budget Android" category. Specs:

  • 600 MHz CPU
  • Android 2.2
  • 3.2" Screen
  • 3MP Camera
  • Multiple color choices

Quite a lot going on in the Android world - although luckily that's all we have for the near-term.
