Friday's round of blurrycam shots of T-Mobile's upcoming G2 not enough for you? Then you'll appreciate this story.

As you can see from the image above, the G2's slider mechanism will lift the top part of the device upwards before moving it out so as to provide full access to the physical QWERTY keyboard beneath it.

Speaking of the keyboard, it looks amazing (even if the above picture only displays part of it).

The back of the Android-powered gadget is a beauty.

And, last but not least, where would we be without a shot of the G2 next to the iPhone?

Unfortunately, the tipster did not provide any specs, but at this point, I think it's safe to say it's rocking a 3.7 inch display (most likely a member of the WVGA species), a 1GHz processor, and a modern version of Android (either 2.1 Eclair or 2.2 FroYo).

i like it. it's slim vs. its kb slider competition mytouch slide 3g, epic 4g, droid 2.

Was hoping for a shot of the top. Curious as to whether or not there is a headphone jack. Love my G1, but hate using an adapter cable to fit standard headphones.

Seeing as all modern high-end Android phones have standard 3.5mm headset jacks, I assume the G2 will as well, especially since T-Mobile will be making it their first HSPA+ phone and therefore their flagship device.
However, if you want firm confirmation, you'll have to ask Engadget's tipster. :)

The only thing it's missing is a front facing camera but that won't stop me from selling my Nexu 1 and buying this. Wondered if hspa+ will work on simpler mobile. 60 ununlimited everything and work with. 3g
