While its author openly claims the ROM is far from perfect, most Incredible owners would probably be happy to give this new ROM, codenamed Sky Raider, a whirl simply to see what Froyo+Sense feel like on their rare, practically extinct, phones.

While have not yet tested Sky Raider ourselves, the installation should be familiar to most rooted Incredible owners who have flashed a ROM before.

Note: this ROM appears to require a full wipe (system/user data or “factory” reset).

Well, I have this ROM installed. I used Unrevoked/recovery to flash Cyanogens Clockwork Recovery.

Installing this was a breeze. Did a nandroid backup, did a wipe and then updated it.

It doesn't have the wallpapers that come with it, which I actually like. It thinks the device is a Moto Shadow it seems as well.

Camera isn't working, you have your choice of Nexus One Gallery or the HTC one.

I don't honestly see a massive speed improvement. In fact my home screen feels slower. Going between windows and using the leap feature don't seem as fast as before.

Wifi Hotspot and USB tethering aren't working, however Wifi-Tether app is built in.

I don't think GPS is working, and Google Skymap refuses to download and install correctly.

Chrome To Phone/ Firefox to Phone work as expected which is great. Google Voice also works as do most functions with which I've tested.

It's not a bad ROM and if you're used to the sense UI it's still there for you.

Missing the camera is pretty important to me so I'll probably do my recovery.

Oops, I just noticed David had a small error in the name Raider ("Rider") - it's corrected now.
