Samsung’s plan for world smartphone domination seems to be going smoothly. After the news that their Galaxy S would be launching on all major US carriers (as well as US Cellular), it has just been announced that the phone will also be launching on Bell, Canada’s second-largest cell phone carrier, as the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant (just Samsung Vibrant wasn't enough, eh buddies?).
The specs are, of course, similar to the Galaxy S models that have already been announced for US carriers:
- 4.0” Super AMOLED screen
- 1 GHz Hummingbird processor
- 5 megapixel camera
- and Android 2.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
However, despite sharing its name with the T-Mobile version of the device (Vibrant), unlike T-Mobile’s version, it will include a front-facing camera.
This is Bell’s first true high-end Android phone, so this may just be Samsung’s way of saying “Happy Canada Day!”
