Another week, another Google update for the Nexus One, both for users already running Froyo and unrooted Eclair on both AT&T and T-Mobile!
I’ve installed the update from FRF83 (500K) on my own Nexus One, and installation was smooth, as always.
It is unknown what the update brings and whether it will be the last one before we see the final official Eclair>Froyo update.
Download
You can download the update here if you didn't get the OTA yet:
- T-Mobile Nexus One: FRF83 > FRF85B (500KB)
- AT&T Nexus One: EPE54B > FRF85B (46.5MB) - this will update your stock unrooted Eclair 2.1 AT&T Nexus One to Froyo! (Oops, Artem mistakenly labeled this as FRF50 > FRF85B at first)
You can also follow the thread on the subject over at the XDA developers forum.
Installation instructions can be found here.

Here is the download link for stock AT&T Nexus One owners: http://android.clients.google.com/packages/passion/signed-passion-FRF85B-from-EPE54B.75b107d6.zip
(EPE54B to FRF85B)
Yeah, it was already there - I just mislabeled it as FRF50 > FRF85B. My bad!
Here's what I am trying to understand, considering I don't have an N1. Is the EPE54B an update for both N1 on AT&T and T-Mo or just AT&T or just T-Mo?
The EPE54B to FRF85B is ONLY for stock AT&T N1s. The build shipping on AT&T N1s is EPE54B, T-Mo is ERE27.
Thanks, I think I figured it all out now - check the updated post please - does that sound all proper now?
Yep! It's a little misleading to say the FRF83 to FRF85B update is only for T-Mo since it'll work on any N1, but I get what you're trying to say.
Hi,
I have a stock AT&T N1. If I do the manual update will I still have all the apps and information / settings moved over or I have to start from scratch?
Nope, it'll just update and leave everything in place.
Here is a download link that should with ANY build!

Hrm, will this work for any N1 out there?
Whoa, where did you find this link? I just downloaded it and it indeed seems to be a completely full version of the FRF85B, with no dependencies whatsoever, except for a requirement of boot loader version 0.33.2012 or 0.33.0012. My non-holiday (non-Googler phone) AT&T N1 is bootloader version 0.33.0012, so it does seem to be intended for consumer devices. Once again, where did you obtain this link?
Yes indeed! That is the FULL download of Froyo, not just a patch version as all the other downloads have been.
What about the Nexus One owner outside USA, who are not AT&T and TMobile. Wont they never get an update.
I have NexusOne since Feb 2010 and am in India on Airtel network.
Will we people never get an OTA for 2.2

I am in India and on Airtel. OTA working fine for me. I have been getting update notification since I updated to FRF50. Got notification for FRF72 as well as FRF83 and 85
This post lacks both "froyo" and "nexus one" tags.
good news, thank you!
stock N1 manually updated to FRF50 when it came out but didnt update on FRF72 – when I woke up today I got the OTA update for FRF85B (1.9MB), am in the Philippines… ty Google
The upgrade worked on my AT&T Nexus one, no problems.
As much as I love Google and and android the folks at at&t can give me a blumkin!!!
Can somebody post the update? Google have deleted/moved the file and I cannot find that.
Thanks
I have received this already from other forum. Here is the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WMCZIIIB
