The latest version of the popular CyanogenMod has been released, offering bug fixes and various improvements over the previous version.
Available to download for the Nexus One, Droid, Dream and Magic, CM 5.0.8 sees some great speed increases on older devices that were still a little sluggish under the previous version.
A particularly noticeable addition to 5.0.8 is ADW Launcher, a home replacement app, which is now included in the ROM by default. Accompanying this is 720p video recording support, which we first saw appear in CM5.0.8-test3 earlier this month.
If you want to try out CM 5.0.8, you can download it from xda-developers. Those of you who are already running a previous version, can get the update from ROM Manager, or CM Updater on the Nexus One. The 5.0.8 changelog can be found here.

I’ve just installed the CyanogenMod 5.0.8 with the FRF50 radio image. As the radio image update makes the installation steps are a little bit different than for a traditional CM update, I take the time to note everything : the detailed instructions are here (http://androidtobe.blogspot.com/2010/06/nexus-one-how-to-upgrade-to-cyanogenmod.html).
There’s no photo in my post but if you want some, look at Android Police procedure which contains a lot.
