It is official - as of today you can guarantee that a brand new shiny HTC Incredible will find a new home in your pocket on launch date - April 29th.
Incredible is regularly priced at $299 with a $100 mail-in rebate but if you head over to your local Best Buy store and preorder it, you will only have to pay $199 (+tax) out of pocket, $50 of which is due at the time of your visit.
There are no mail-in rebates to worry about when you deal with Best Buy, however, which is exactly why I got my HTC Hero there last October and will do it again with my next phone. The $50 you have to pay at preorder time will be simply converted to a Best Buy giftcard which you'll be able to apply to the phone's price on April 29th.

I went to Best Buy today to pre-order the incredible but the guy I was talking to said they probably wont have the phone until May 23. I hoping that he just read the information wrong but I thought it was strange that they wouldn't have it until the 23rd.
For Best Buy's sake, I hope they have it on launch date, because if they don't, this will be the most useless preorder one can imagine.
I suggest you call another store or talk to another person in the same store.
